COVID-19 Community Update: 26 March 2020
Dear Still North community,
Thank you so much for your support during this turbulent time. We have been adjusting our business model on what feels like a daily basis to stay in compliance with guidelines coming from the CDC. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support and kindness from our community—as well as your patience as we adjust to ever-changing circumstances.
Yesterday, we launched our new website, which allows you to purchase books from us online. Effective tomorrow, we will be accepting online orders only. Tomorrow will be the last day to pick up orders previously placed over the phone or email for curbside pickup.
We have decided to take this measure in order to further protect the health of our community and ensure the wellbeing of our employees. By moving entirely online, I will be able to work on fulfilling orders from the shop alone, while other staff members work on fulfilling orders directly from the warehouse from the safety of their homes. After two weeks of self-isolating, we will evaluate whether it is safe for multiple people to be in the shop together.
We will continue to work on fulfilling any orders placed over the phone or via email today and tomorrow. If you are unable to pick up your purchase today or tomorrow, we will make arrangements to ship your purchase to you.
Please keep in mind that shipping times may be longer than expected, given delays due to precautionary measures taken by our publishers, warehouses, and mail carriers.
Although our physical storefront will be closed, there are still plenty of ways you can help Still North through this unprecedented time, including:
Placing online orders through our website
Buying gift certificates and e-gift cards now to be used at a later date
Purchasing audiobooks through Libro.fm
Following us on social media to stay connected with updates
Encouraging others to consciously support local businesses when possible
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to re-opening our doors and seeing you all again when safely possible.
